Matki Phod is one of the traditional and cultural events that the Indian society has been celebrating for centuries.
A Matki or Vase full of cream usually is tied on a rope and hanged over several feets high; a group of people then climb on each other in an attempt to reach the Matki and eventually breaking it (Phod). This matki phod event is basically derived from the acts of the Hindu God Lord Krishna who in his childhood, was very fond of eating butter and used to get the matki broken every time he felt hungry.
BVPCSI taking inspiration from the tradition and the festival organized the 'Matki Phod', witnessing excited and enthusiastic participation from students and faculties.
Exposing yourself to various cultures is vital towards personal growth.
