World has a number of problems with long term and irrevocable effects to the environment. Food shortage and wastage is one of the man created issues which can be solved easily, just by changing habits.
It is estimated that over 40% of food served every year is wasted or never consumed, which sums up to a vast amount of food accounting the large produces of the 21st century.
It is indeed ironical that even after huge produces we have enough food to throw in the dump instead of giving it to the ones in need.
Society of Social Service (SSS) in collaboration with BVPCSI concerned for such a trivial social issue organized a Food for Help drive, where students prepared fresh sandwiches to donate to the less fortunate at Jwala Heri, Paschim Vihar.
